Welcome to the Slough Borough Council Budget Simulator

Welcome to Slough Council's Budget Simulator. This simulator will help you find out about each area of the council's work and how much it costs each year.

The Government has just announced that the Council's funding allocation will be reduced by 8.3% from April 2012. You can now consider the choices facing Councillors; and decide how you would allocate the money across the departments based on last year's budget.

If you decide to raise spending in too many areas, you will be warned that you will have to put council tax up to do it!

The simulator is based around two core stages, and shouldn't take more than a few minutes to complete. Once you've completed it, your results will be submitted to Slough Borough Council who will then put everyone's opinions together and use them to inform future budget and spending priorities.
